Overview
Infinix™ Universal Composite is a light-cured general-purpose dental restorative filling material. It is a high-viscosity, nano-hybrid restorative composite, developed to address two primary challenges in modern restorative dentistry: recurrent caries and long-term restoration failure. It is the first and only FDA-cleared composite with embedded antibacterial technology (QASi™), offering a paradigm shift in restorative outcomes — from passive sealing to active protection. Includes twenty 0.25g capsules.
Clinical Application Overview
Indicated for Class I–V restorations, including posterior stress-bearing restorations and anterior esthetics.
Integrates seamlessly into standard adhesive workflows.
Highly sculptable for anatomical shaping with excellent polish retention.
Ideal for high-caries-risk patients, pediatric, geriatric, and recall-heavy populations.
Scientific & Technical Foundation:
Feature | Clinical Relevance |
|---|---|
QASi™ Antibacterial Technology | Disrupts bacterial membranes at the restoration margin, reducing biofilm and minimizing the risk of secondary caries. |
Nano-Hybrid Filler System | Delivers strength for posterior load-bearing restorations and polish for anterior esthetics. |
High Radiopacity | Facilitates accurate follow-up and radiographic diagnosis. |
Non-leaching Mechanism | QASi™ is covalently bound—no degradation, no systemic diffusion. |
Sculptable, Non-Sticky Handling | In a field study*, dentists rated Infinix Universal Composite as 'ideal' in terms of its viscosity, stickiness, flow, and ability to maintain its shape. [*Nobio Internal Data] Facilitates efficient contouring and marginal adaptation, especially in multi-surface restorations. |
Chairside Use Case Integration
Posterior Composite Workflow (Class I & II):
Excellent packability for proximal boxes
Holds form during occlusal anatomy sculpting
Reduces bacterial recolonization risk below the contact point
Anterior Esthetic Restorations (Class III, IV, V):
High-translucency finish with nano-polish
Low wear and minimal surface roughness over time
Recommended as a standalone solution for non-occlusal restorative procedures
Active protection for cervical lesions in high-risk sites
Core Build-ups / Foundation Restorations:
Strong compressive strength
Radiopacity supports follow-up endo / post-placement
QASi™ supports periodontal integration by reducing biofilm at crown margins
Specifications Table:
Parameter | Specification |

Scientific Support & Clinical Outcomes
Demonstrated up to 68% reduction in demineralization (in situ study)
The composite’s antibacterial technology works at the surface and along cavity margins, where gaps may form, effectively reducing bacterial growth and minimizing the risk of recurrent decay
Data published in peer-reviewed journals, including studies from academic research centers
