QASi™ (Quaternary Ammonium Silica)
is a patented, non-leaching antibacterial silica filler that is permanently embedded into Infinix™ restorative system products.
Unlike conventional materials that passively fill the cavity, QASi-containing restoratives actively kill bacteria on contact.
The addition of small amounts of QASi filler cripples the biofilm and maintains neutral pH in the presence of sugar. Thus, no acid is produced, and demineralization is prevented.
