Dr. Troy Schmedding graduated from the University of Puget Sound prior to getting his D.D.S. at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1993. For 17 years Dr. Schmedding successfully maintained a solo dental practice in Seattle, WA before relocating with his family to California to pursue his interest in educating a future generation of dentists. He currently holds position as assistant professor in the Department of Reconstructive Dental Sciences and co-course director for Integrated Pre-Clinical Technique at UOP School of Dentistry.

In addition to teaching, Dr. Schmedding enjoys lecturing nationally and internationally to fellow colleagues on restorative and aesthetic dentistry. Dr. Schmedding has received accreditation with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, one of approximately 460 dentists world wide to have achieved this distinction. He also serves as a Key Opinion Leader for leading clinical material manufacturers.

In his spare time, Dr. Schmedding enjoys sharing his love of fly fishing and all things outdoors with his two children and wife of 18 years.
